Parents of Teens
|
God's Word clearly teaches that God has given parents the
primary responsibility of spiritually growing their young ones:
Ephesians 6:4, Proverbs 22:6, Titus 2:4-5.
Our ministry team desires to support, resource, equip and bring
parents together to assist them in this great task.
We also believe that the job of the church is to provide age
appropriate ministry AND to bring families together for worship,
teaching, prayer and service, not to separate them at all gatherings.
As a result SCBC provides opportunities for families to grow
together through the programs and gatherings of the Church.

Parent Invitational Worship Services
We desire to have parents and students worship, learn and
grow in combined worship gatherings. Several times a year
we invite parents to join us in the Youth Center for Sunday
morning parents and teens combined worship gatherings.
If you are on our database you'll be invited! In addition
we don't schedule youth worship services on Easter and
Christmas Sundays to encourage families to worship together
at the main services during holidays.
Annual Parents of Teens Summit Meeting
We gather once a year to update parents on all the plans
for the coming year and introduce new parents to the
philosophy and workings of our youth Ministry Department.
We also use this time to listen and gather information
about how we can best serve you and your students. Late
May, 2006.
