CAre Ministries
Food Pantry
SCBC's food pantry is well stocked to accommodate the many families we help in and outside our church body. Volunteers purchase fresh dairy, produce and meat products to complement the many bags assembled from the pantry and then delivered to the residence. We are able to offer them a Gospel of John and other spiritual periodicals, along with a local resource list for additional help. We also can deliver prepared meals to those who are recovering from illness, surgery or child birth.
Financial Assistance
Families in need can request help (and/or financial counsel) when they find themselves in a difficult financial situation. An initial screening is done by the Benevolence department and is usually followed by a meeting with the individual to determine if, and/or how SCBC can be of assistance. We have helped with rent, car repairs, utility bills, prescriptions and gasoline. This ministry exists to provide food/non food items and financial assistance to those truly in need. If you request help, a Benevolence team member will contact you, evaluate your situation, and enable you to get both the short and long term help you need.
Love Inc
"Love In the Name of Christ (INC)" is a network of volunteers set up to connect those in the body with people with needs who have no other source of help or who are low income.
