Technical Arts

As part of the Worship Arts Ministry, the Technical Arts Ministry includes the TechTeam. We are the team responsible for all of the technical aspects of the church gatherings including weekend, Jr. High and High School, and Celebrate Recovery services, midweek gatherings and special events. The TechTeam supports virtually every ministry at Santa Cruz Bible Church. We are responsible for meeting all of the technical requirements of the worship experience including lighting, sound, video and computer presentations, and the audio and video recording of the services, plus creating the stage sets for the weekend services and for special events such as Christmas and Easter presentations.

Our ministry is a community of people who recognize that their service to God is primarily behind the scenes, working to meet our objective of presenting a "barrier-free" worship experience. In other words, when our work goes unnoticed, we've done our job successfully. Though there are many technical aspects to what we do, we have positions available for all levels of technical expertise and experience. Our main qualification for involvement is a heart that beats to serve God!

The positions on the TechTeam include:

Technical Directors

Directors coordinate with pastors, worship leaders, ushers and staff, and implement the vision for the service with the help of the rest of the team.

Live and Recording Sound Engineers

Live sound includes setting up the equipment and mixing at services. Record sound mixes and records.

Camera Operators

			Volunteers needed to operate cameras at services and special events.

Lighting Designers and Operators

Lighting volunteers help create an atmosphere for worship for weekend services, concerts, and special events, include set up, design and running the lighting board.
